South Lakes Tree Surgeons & Landscapes Ltd were recently approached by a client in Bolton, Lancashire, who had purchased an estate which had very little tree maintenance completed for a number of years.
Following an initial site meeting to discuss the required work, a site survey was carried out to prioritise the work, starting with essential emergency work first, followed by general maintenance work.
The more urgent work included felling several large Beech trees, which were diseased and were located next to busy highway and buildings, all the trees were section felled using modern lowering equipment and technique’s, with full chapter eight traffic safety measures in place. We also carried out crown lifting of trees adjacent to the highway to maintain minimum clearance over the roads.
On completion of the initial essential works South Lakes Tree Surgeons were awarded the second phase of the tree safety work and undertook general maintenance jobs on the grounds and trees within the Lancashire estate.
